Rolex Submariner Model 16808 from the 1980’s

Our Rolex Submariner in 18k yellow gold hasn’t lost any of its sparkle. Production for the 16808 model ran from 1979 till 1987. Powered by calibre 3035 movement with quick set date. Stunning black dial with luminous and gold hour markers, also known as the “nipple” style dial is eye catching. The first generation of this model featured the nipple style dial to be later replaced by larger luminous plots with gold surrounds. The watch distinguishes itself from the earlier plastic crystal 1680 model with it’s sapphire crystal. A great vintage look with modern appeal.
